The international Master of Global Management programme wants to gather students from all over the world to study in an open, international and practice-oriented environment in the heart of Europe. The programme combines broad management training with in-depth skills. It prepares students for general management functions and provides them with a basis for a successful career in international management.

INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH
The Master of Global Management programme is designed for students who want to enhance their hands-on management skills and competencies in an open and international environment.
The programme focuses on:- deepening the participant’s knowledge of management functions;
- the integration of knowledge and skills required in key managerial responsibilities: leadership, people management and long-term planning;
- strengthening business skills, e.g. entrepreneurship, perseverance, motivation, emotional intelligence and initiative;
- the development of social skills, problem-solving skills, communication skills and the capacity for teamwork and leadership;
- an examination of global issues from a European perspective highlighting technological opportunities for innovation, change and progress.
Admission requirements
Candidates should
- hold an undergraduate university degree at Master's level; a Bachelor degree is only sufficient if it is obtained after 4 years of full-time study at university level
- be fluent in written and spoken English; a recent TOEFL or IELTS score should be submitted, except for native English speakers or applicants who have completed their undergraduate studies in a native English-speaking country. Applicants who participate in one of the UAMS interview sessions worldwide are also exempt from submitting these scores.
Students should send in their applications before 1 July (international students) or 1 September (EU-citizens) 2010.

Besides completing this form, candidates should additionally send us (electronically or by mail) a transcript/academic record of their studies, a CV/resumé, a copy of their passport (and photograph) and an essay. Instructions for writing the essay can be found here.
Selection
After submitting a complete application file, candidates will be invited to participate in a selection procedure. There are two ways to complete the selection process : through a distance procedure or an on-campus selection.
The on-campus selection will take place on 10 May or 3 September 2010. It will consist of an online cognitive test and a selection interview.
Candidates who cannot attend the selection days should participate in the selection process through the distance procedure. Besides the online cognitive test, the interview will be organized through Skype or by telephone. Additionally, candidates are required to submit a test score for the IELTS or TOEFL test.
This covers all tuition and registration fees, but does not include the cost of books, syllabi, etc.
UAMS does not offer scholarships (for information on scholarships granted by the Belgian government or private institutions, please contact the Belgian Embassy in your country).

The programme Master of Global Management will be presented at the Junior Masters Open Days at UAMS.
These will take place on Saturday 20 March and on Saturday 21 August 2010, from 10am to 1pm (MGM presentations at 11.30am). There is an additional Open Evening on Wednesday May 5, from 4pm to 7pm (MGM presentation at 4.30pm).
